Neuroscience is entering an era where large-scale computational approaches are highly advantageous for examining and interpreting the growing amounts of data being obtained in studies using in vivo neuroimaging approaches, such as MRI, fMRI and related modalities that reveal brain structure and function. Novel and integrative approaches to the analysis, interpretation, and applications for these data are necessary. This 3-day international meeting of researchers from North America and Pacific Rim regions entitled “New Horizons in Human Brain Imaging: A Focus on the Pacific Rim” will foster discussions among researchers along the Pacific Rim that focus on mutual interests, sharing of data, and collaborative efforts.
